SNH Plummer Block Housings

Plummer Block Housings in SNH series are designed to permit flexibility in the bearing choice, lubrication, seal and method of location. A number of housing variations can be created using the horizontally split housing. They have two attachment bolts for adjustments. The SNH type is interchangable with earlier SNA type.

They can be fitted with a variety of seals like a two part double lip seal, felt seal, V ring seal and labyrinth seal. Rubbing type seals can be used for temperatures ranging from -4 0° C to100°C for peripheral speeds. For higher speeds, labyrinth seal may be used.

The plummer blocks are made of gray cast iron or graphite cast iron. They can be grease or oil lubricated. The selection is done as per the operating conditions. The method of lubrication varies as per the lubricant. These housings are designed to carry loads that act at right angle to the surface.
