Buying Tips: Radial Ball Bearings |
The following should be considered while selecting
radial ball bearings:
The ABEC and ISO bearing standards are primarily concerned with bearing tolerances. The Annular Bearing Engineers Committee (ABEC) of the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA) establishes standards for manufacturing precision ball bearings. These standards are also accepted by (ANSI) American Standardization Institute and by international agreement for the standards developed by the International Standards Organization (ISO). ABEC and ISO standards do not cover: radial play, raceway curvature, surface finish, material, ball complement, number, size or precision level, retainer type, lubrication, torque, cleanliness at assembly, packaging and other factors that may be essential to the desired bearing performance. The following ABEC and ISO Chart can assists you in determining the bearing quality necessary for your system.
